Welcome back to the M2G Sold Podcast. This is the Weekly Report for October 12th through 18th
2026.
So week three of the reality fracture come down. If you're hoping it had a floor, it doesn't yet.
On the same 74 products as last week, TCCG player did about $756,000 on 5,722 units.
That's 21% lighter and it's under every week we publish since mid-August. Friday was the only
day over 1,000 units. That part I expected, the part I didn't expect is the timing. The come-down
kept going and this was the week all of the late stock decided to show up. Delayed reality
fracture boxes, foundation commander restocks, and Star Trek Pureater Stock that had been sitting
on store websites all hit TCCG player in the same 7 days. This is into a fifth of fewer buyers
and almost everything that got new stock got cheaper. Star Trek is the strangest one.
The set doesn't come out until November 13th and last week I told you the Star Trek collector
Boucher Display shelf on TCCG player was basically one seller. One store had listed 217 boxes and
that was most of the shelf. This week on October 14th and 15th everybody else showed up. All four
Star Trek Pureater shelves stepped up in the same 2 days. The Star Trek Play Booster display went
from about 300 boxes to 685. The Star Trek collector booster display went from 416 to 625.
And the seller count on it went from the low 20s to 48.
The Star Trek Pure release pack went from 79 kits to 370 units in 3 days and one seller listed 148 of
them on a single day. The big collector seller from last week is still there with the same 216 boxes
but they cut their price from about 663 to 613 and they're only 41% of the shelf now.
Prices fell on all four products, volume went up, 53%. That combination matters because if
demand were drying up you'd see fewer boxes selling and instead you're seeing more boxes selling
at lower prices. That seller is cutting to move pre-orders. So why now? My read is that stores
ran their pre-order rounds on their website's first and now they're listing whatever's left on
TCG player. Either those rounds came in softer than the stores hoped or they just ordered deep
and want the cash before release. I can't tell those to apart from listing data. What I can tell you
is it just wasn't a delay scare. Wizards posted a Star Trek delay notice on October 16th.
After the shelves had already built and in North America the only thing on it is the Commander Decks.
Playboosters and pre-release packs are on track. So if you ordered a Star Trek collector
booster display somewhere and paid more than about $605 the TCG player average is already under you.
Five weeks out before a single preview card. Well not single we have some previews.
The Star Trek Playbooster display is still sitting at about $141 which is roughly 33%
under what 30 packs cost at $6.99. Keep an eye out on Tuesday because the preview debut
is the first real chance for demand to answer back. Then there's the Reality Fracture Secret
Layer bundle which ships October 23rd. Last week I said the pre-order premium on the Reality Fracture
Secret Layer bundle broke. I need to correct that a little because it broke for only one shop stock
and the shelf did something else. So a seller called KO cards at a Plano Texas showed up on October
6th with 88 copies at $185. By the 11th they had 62 left at about $174. Then they cut to $143
on the 13th, $141.65 on the 14th and by then they were down to 15 copies and out of our top 10
snapshot. And the whole reality Fracture Secret Layer bundle shelf went with them from 144 copies
across 14 sellers on October 11th down to 43 copies across 8 sellers by Sunday because buyers took
137 of them more than double last week. Then once that cheap block was gone the low asking price
jumped right back to about $169. The average sale this week was $150.44 still 67% over sticker four days
before release. I find this kind of funny honestly one shop in Texas decided it wanted out,
priced its way out and the market just ate the whole thing. Nobody followed them down.
Now the question for you is if you're holding one is Friday. Release stock is the thing that
can actually refill that shelf and if it does $169 is in the floor. I wouldn't treat the rebound
like one. And then Foundations Commander. Last week I said the Foundation Commander Decks were up
because the shelves had drained and that would hold exactly until the next cart and landed.
The cart and landed and the prices went up anyway. The Foundations Commander Deck
calling all angels. The shelf on that went from 19 decks and 12 sellers on October 12th to
68 decks and 36 sellers by Sunday. Sellers tripled and the new listings came in higher.
So the average sale up went about 11% to $51. Buyers took 58 decks. Last week they took 130 decks.
The Foundations Commander Deck Tramposaurus Rex is now at about $61 which is more than double
the 29 99 sticker on a shelf that nearly doubled in a week. The Foundations Commander Deck
reign of dragons went up 11% on 50 sales down from 115. So you've got more decks, more sellers,
half the buyers and higher asking prices. I don't think that holds. My guess is the price gives
eventually and late because sellers tend to list where the last sale printed. Either that or the
buyers come back before the asking prices have to move. On the fallout side the universes beyond
fallout commander deckcase took its third straight cut to about $247 and buyers took more of them
anyways. 131 against 118 last week for about $32,000 on T-CG player while the single fallout decks
cooled off. So the case is where the fallout money is right now. Tuesday Hasbro reports Q3 before
the open and I'm reading the same three things I told you about last week. Wizard's growth against
the mid single digit guide inventory heading into Q4 and whether the full year guide moves and
the Star Trek debut stream is the same day. I'm looking at the Star Trek purer shelves after that
first preview day. If they shrink the dump found buyers. If they keep growing the stores aren't done
and on Friday the reality fractures secret layer bundle releases and I want to see if that 43 copy
shelf refills. Thanks for listening full of graphs and pictures on the article on mtgsold.com
I'll see you next Monday. Thanks for listening.
